The Climate Governance Initiative mobilises boards to accelerate the transition to net zero and build climate resilience.
The Climate Governance Initiative is a non-profit organisation developed in collaboration with the World Economic Forum and based at the Centre for Climate Engagement, Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge.
It exists to develop and support a global network that mobilises chairs and non-executive and independent directors on every continent to take climate action by enhancing their knowledge and skills in climate governance. Its rapidly growing global network has Chapters in over 70 countries worldwide, reaching more than 100,000 board members. The full list of chapters can be found here.
Why? Climate change is a global emergency. Business has a crucial role to play in the necessary transition. Boards must take the lead on this building on the World Economic Forum’s Principles for Effective Climate Governance.
Chapter Zero UAE has signed up to the Charter of the Climate Governance Initiative, and commits to upholding its values.
