Developed with the World Economic Forum, the Guiding Principles give boards a practical framework for governing climate and nature — built on three foundations (skills and knowledge, stakeholder collaboration, risk and opportunity) and four principles (oversight and accountability, strategy, risk and opportunity, disclosure and transparency).

Each principle comes with the questions a board should be asking management, so directors can set strategic direction under uncertainty rather than react to it.
